Shibori is a Japanese form of tie-dye. My work features multiple-colored dyes applied one at a time, using various items to resist areas in each layer of color: including wrapping on a pole with string, folding and stitching and/or clamping with various shaped objects before dyeing each color. Some are pressed after drying and some are left with the folded texture. Complete in various years from 2015-2019
